I’m a Brooklyn-based blerd, writer, educator, and editor. My work takes on various forms, including journalism, fiction, copywriting, curriculum writing, web development, search engine optimization, marketing, social media, and other avenues of communication. My work has appeared in The North American Review, Promethean, PREE, The Dillydoun Review, The Stonecoast Review, Hungry Shadow Press, Liberation News, Giant Freakin Robot, Glasse Factory, Comic Book Resources, Island Origins Magazine, Collider, Blavity, Grub Street Writers Workshop, Nyack News & Reviews, and The Onyx Informer, among others. I’ve served as an editor for Lampblack Magazine, The Promethean, and The Onyx Informer

 

I've done copywriting, programming, marketing, and social media work for entities like Nickelodeon, Grub Street Writers Workshop, Philanthropy New York, Democracy Now! Productions, and Youth for Understanding, among others. I'm also a Licensed Educator and curriculum writer with experience teaching English, Journalism, Creative Writing, Remote Learning Technologies, Media Literacy, and Social-Emotional Learning in in-person, hybrid, and remote environments. I teach at The City College of New York, am a former high school teacher with the NYC Department of Education, and have developed curricula for organizations like Democracy Now! Productions, IWILLGRADUATE, and MakerState.


I earned an MFA in fiction from the City College of New York and a BA in English from Northeastern University. I am a 2024 Roots. Wounds. Words. Fellow., was awarded a 2023 Periplus Fellowship, won the City College of New York’s Stark Short Fiction Prize, and was a finalist for The North American Review's Kurt Vonnegut Prize in Speculative Fiction. I am currently working on a collection of short stories, a novel, and making friends with the neighborhood birds.
